Hey all!

Laura and I decided to do a twin post today! Our theme was Monkey See, Monkey Do - so check out her nails, she always has such cute ideas!

Hey everyone, I'm Laura from Little Laura Loves.

Today me and Rachael are doing a twin MSMD post. I hope you like my post, if you do please check out my blog.

I spent so long deciding which mani to copy from Rachael's blog. She has so many beautiful idea's but I loved this one, I loved the idea she was inspired by her cat and had posted some super cute photo's of it.

So I decided to share some cute puppy pics as well as copying her mani. I hope you like it, please check out the original post !!

The base I used is Essie - All Tied Up.

Then the pawprints are Rimmel - Torrid.

and here are my gorgeous puppies!

Thanks again so much Rachael !

Thank you so much Laura for twin posting with me!

UK Polish Subscription Boxes

Yes, you read right!

I am more than slightly behind with this news, as people started posting about this back in February, but the boxes are due for release in the coming months, so I thought just incase you were as behind as me, that I would let you know!

So Susan Cosmetics are dragging the UK in line with the US, with their release of the 'Lacquer Love' subscription box.

So Susan will offer 2 box themes every month - e.g "Gorgeously Glam" - big, bold colours and "Curated Chic" - more low-key, every day shades. Each box will contain 5 items - of which at least 3 will be nail polishes. Their polishes are 4-Free.

Before you enrol, you will be able to choose which box suits you the most. This is really flexible - you can switch between boxes as they will showcase these on Instagram and other social media around a week or so before the release, so you have time to change your mind if you want. You can also choose to gift your box to a friend or cancel if you want to as well.

There is currently a waiting list - the first 2000 names who sign up will receieve their first taster box for just £1! Every box after this will be £10 plus £2.95 p&p.

Here is the link for signing up - So Susan Cosmetics.

So excited about this - I love seeing what people get from their subscriptions such as Square Hue and Julep in the US - it really is time for us to have something similar!

Guest Posting

Want to show off your work? Want a few more visits to your page? Just feeling really proud of a mani you've just done?

Why not do a guest post for me!

Guest Posts

I am often busy during the week, so I do have quiet periods each week where I would love to feature extra posts.

If you are interested in guest posting for me, then feel free to email me at:

rachosnl [at] gmail [dot] com

Your post can be anything as long as it is nail related. You don't even need to have your own blog - I am quite happy to prepare a feature on your favourite mani if you would like to share it but don't have your own space to share it.

If you have an idea for a collaboration, or twin post, then I am open to suggestions. As I mentioned, I am busy during the week but given prior notice I can prepare these in advance if necessary. I love working with new people and especially getting to see how people interpret things differently on their nails! :)

Again, if you're interested in anything like this - feel free to drop me a line at the email address above!

Look forward to hearing from you!

ER31DC - Week 7 - Black and White

Decided to challenge myself today! Watermarbling!

These came out quite well but think the colours show up every little blemish - few bubbles, smudges etc. But its another learning curve :)

Don't forget to check out everyone else's black and white manis!

Invogue Feather Effect Polishes - Part 2

So here we are - part 2. I went into Boots today and had a proper look at their Nails Inc selection - Sunset, Parakeet and Jaye Bird are exact dupes of theirs.

The first I tried today was Jaye Bird. I love the colours of this - blue is one of my favourite colour families. I wanted to stay as close to the other two as possible, so again, 2 thick coats and a thick coat of Seche Vite to finish.

Like the others, this still had the quite rough finish and would benefit from a second coat I think.

Last but not least is On the Money. I am pretty sure this is a dupe of Brighton Feathers, but as it wasn't in the shop I couldn't be 100% sure. I quite like this colour-wise, but it seemed a little thicker in consistency than the other two and was more difficult to level out.

Took this in artificial light as the day was dying!

Definitely think Parakeet is my favourite of the four, followed by Jaye Bird. Which are your favourites? x

Invogue Feather Effect Polishes - Swatch and Review Part 1

On the nail polish grape vine, these polishes have recently appeared as the thrifty polish buyers alternative to the Nails Inc Feathers collection.

There are four polishes in the collection - Sunset, Parakeet, On the Money and Jaye Bird. They're available from Superdrug online and apparently in some stores although I didnt find them anywhere near me. They're also a bargain price - only £3.49, when compared to the Nails Inc versions which are £11!

Each polish is made up of very fine bar glitter. I thought this might be an issue as I really dislike bar glitter (they never stay flat, they just look messy at all different directions) , but they are so very small in these polishes and very dense, that they look less like bars, they look.. i dont know.. less like bars anyway! :)

I thought I would split this into two posts - well, really I just wanted to keep one of these beauties on for more than 10 minutes! ;)

The first two I have for you are Sunset and Parakeet. I decided to choose the one that jumped out at me most, and the one that did the least. I was surprised that I love the latter more on my nails!

So - here's the first one. This is Sunset - a beautiful mix of orange and white fine hexes. I have used two coats and one coat of top coat. This still left the polish with a slightly rough texture, so I think it could do with another to even out. The bars are very dense and spread well - no dabbing required. Brush is average size, no issues and formula is easily workable.

I love the colours, but I don't think it does much for my skin tone. This ones in artificial light by the way!

The second is Parakeet. I was really unsure of this in the bottle - it looks quite.. grungy.

Again, I used two coats and one of top coat. It could do with another. I was pleasantly surprised at this. We've had a glorious day and i've spent a lot of it staring at my beautiful summery nails. <3

What do you think of Feather effect polishes? Yey or Ney? Do you own any?

Different Shades of Blue - Autism Awareness - Day 5 Ruffian

Hi all! Back to using my phone at the mo just to save a little time. Life is busy busy so its nice to be able to still fit in doing my nails and its the editing (taking from my camera, cropping, watermarking, uploading) that seems to take the most time!

Puzzle pieces are on route, just not happy with any ive done so far.

Here are my ruffians. Cant leave anything be - cant decide if i liked more pre-dots either! Polishes used are L'Oréal - Mystic Blue and Ellagee - Lucy in the Sky <3 .

Don't forget to check out everyone else's manis - they might be a bit ahead of me by now! ;)

Pokémon Nail Art Challenge - Week 12 Ice - Dewgong

Hi all!

Cheating slightly here and 'upcycling' my last mani. I'm quite pleased with the end result, even though Dewgong looks a bit squonky!

You can really see the shine in this one! Love this little glitter polish!

Polishes used:

Color Club - 3 minis from an unnamed blue set, but I believe the blue dots are Hydrangea Kiss. Unsure on the blue base and the sparkly top coat.
Sinful Colors - Snow Me White
Sinful Colors - Black to Black

Simplez :)

Hope you like it! Don't forget to check out everyone else's manis for Ice week! xxx

Different Shades of Blue - Autism Awareness Challenge - Day 3 Ombre or Gradient

Hi all!

I just thought I would let you know that I suck at both of these. I have quite a nice collection of blues, but I can never put them together to make ombre nails.. and my gradient skills are terrible. So i thought I would try a dotted gradient as I saw them on one of the blogs I read recently and I thought they looked pretty good :)

So here's my attempt! Not quite sure its as gradiented as it should be, but hopefully next time they'll be better! :)

Don't forget to check out everyone elses nails today! :)

Disney Nail Art Challenge - Day 3 - Fox and Hound

Hi all!

Bit rushed, as I got my dates wrong and thought these were for tomorrow. So i'm leisurely painting them ready to put up tonight ready for the morning and realise they're for today haha! Argh!

So here are my nails. I wanted to be a little bit different as I thought a lot of people might choose to paint Tod or Copper. I've seen a couple so far and they've been awesome.

I decided to do Dinky and Squeaks. If you don't remember these two characters, Dinky is part of the Dinky and Boomer bird pair who go after the caterpillar. They chase him all over, until at the end of the film, he turns into a butterfly and they dont want to eat him anymore. The caterpillar is called Squeaks.

Here are my nails anyway. Hope you like them! :)

Dinky is supposed to be looking into the hole for Squeaks, and Squeaks is coming out of a hole behind him, but its hard to see because I chose a brown too dark for the base. Nevermind - lesson learned!

Don't forget to check out all the other lush manis for Fox and Hound day! xxx

Different Shades of Blue - Autism Awareness Challenge - Day 2 Rainbows

Quite proud of today's nails!

One of them is a little wonky.. i somehow managed to get white in my topcoat and it smeared all over when i went to topcoat my ring finger :( so i tried to fix it a bit, hence the wonkiness!

Check out everyone else's nails :)
